Our cashier station requirements are for the safety and integrity of:
- gaming equipment
- patrons
- all staff.
Operations and installation of gaming equipment
The cashier station must be built so that the gaming equipment inside it can't be accessed by the public.
Cashier stations must:
- be constantly monitored by CCTV
- have cabling that is securely fixed
- not store any equipment or belongings on, or near, it
- not let ancillary equipment be accessible to the public (e.g. coin dispensers, coin weighing scales)
- ensure gaming equipment is accessible to our inspectors
- ensure the Site Controller (in the cashier station) is adequately secured and not accessible to the public
- have an operational and accessible duress alarm installed for staff to trigger in the event of an emergency
- ensure other equipment is not connected to the gaming equipment distribution board (e.g. coin dispensers)
- ensure coin dispensers and coin weighing scales clearly display the dollar value to the customer
- not display gaming machine advertising if the cashier station is situated outside the gaming machine area.
