Inclusion and diversity

Other related content

At the VGCCC, we’re committed to inclusion and diversity.

By 2025, we want to be renowned for delivering an exceptional employee experience. One of the ways we’ll achieve this is by supporting the wellbeing and psychological safety of our people through an inclusive and values-driven culture.

In our workplace, inclusion and diversity means people of all ages, genders, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, religious beliefs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with a disability and people who are diverse in gender and sexuality – working together to ensure Victorian’s gambling industry operates with integrity, and is safe and fair.

Being inclusive and diverse is a marker of psychological safety, and is an essential element to delivering our responsibilities as a regulator.

Not only is it a priority in how we run our business, but we’re proud to announce and share our first Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) as Victoria’s dedicated casino and gambling regulator.

Gender Equality Action Plan

Endorsed by the Commissioner for Gender Equality in the Public Sector, our GEAP sets out how we support gender equality and the initiatives we will implement to advance gender equality principles.

At the VGCCC, a snapshot into gender equality looks like:

  • Gender equality across all employment levels and divisions.
  • A gender pay gap of only 1.1% per cent in comparison to 6.8% in the Victorian Public Service (as at 30 June 2023).
  • An active VGCCC Pride Network to connect and support LGBTIQA+ staff.
  • Having flexible work arrangements and offering and promoting innovative job share arrangements.
  • Staff confidence in reporting inappropriate and discriminatory behaviour.
