The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) has developed these resources to help gaming venues understand and comply with their legal obligations.
New staff at gaming venues need to get up to speed on gambling regulations and venue obligations.

Player Information Standards contain printed materials that are part of a range of initiatives to promote responsible gambling in Victoria. The YourPlay scheme is a government initiative that can assist players to make informed decisions about their gambling and it will be available on all gaming machines state-wide from 1 December 2015.
The Gambling Regulations 2015 enable the Minister to make standards setting out the information and the required form of printed player information materials that are required to be displayed in venues.
The VGCCC is responsible for ensuring industry compliance with this requirement.
As required by the Regulations, the VGCCC must provide access to the electronic logos for the final phase of implementing the updated Player Information Standards in December 2015.
YourPlay logos are available in the Online Services Portal on the VGCCC website.
YourPlay logos must be used on all gaming and casino venue player cards, websites, mobile applications and any loyalty scheme application forms. The YourPlay logos must be used as directed in the Player Information Standards. This page outlines the logo specifications including colour, font, size and application to light and dark backgrounds. Specifications cannot be changed to suit your branding or collateral.
An infringement notice of up to twenty penalty units applies to the incorrect or lack of use of YourPlay logos.
As required by the Regulations, the VGCCC must provide player information posters, talkers, brochures and responsible gambling signs in sufficient numbers to enable venue operators to comply with the requirement to provide responsible gambling materials in their venue.
The VGCCC must also provide a copy of each player information poster, talker and brochure to the casino operator in a form that allows them to be copied. It is the casino operator's responsibility to copy player information posters, talkers and brochures in sufficient numbers to comply with the requirement to provide responsible gambling materials in the casino.

All gaming venues are required to collect and maintain data in relation to self-exclusion, as well as information on complaints received by customers regarding compliance with a Code of Conduct.

There are certain requirements for venue operators to display signage that encourages responsible gambling. Gaming signage, player information materials and signs about underage patrons must be displayed in the gaming area, as stated in the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (the Act). For more information see Display gaming signage.
In accordance with the Act, a gambling provider or registered bookmaker is required to display a notice about the prohibition of persons under 18 years in a gaming area. The VGCCC has provided a Sample notice - display of notice of under 18 years in gaming venue to be used as a guide. Failure to display will result in further enforcement action.
Gaming venue operators and staff must promote and help players in all aspects of YourPlay under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and Gambling Regulation (Pre-commitment and Loyalty Schemes) Regulations 2014.
