Wagering service providers who offer interactive wagering and betting services (such as online and telephone betting) must comply with strict requirements contained in the direction of the Minister for Casino, Gaming and Liquor Regulation. These directions regulate how wagering service providers offer interactive wagering and betting services, as well as how they advertise their services.
Tabcorp has been awarded Victoria’s Wagering and Betting Licence for the next 20 years. The new licence comes into effect after the current licence expires on 16 August 2024. Tabcorp was awarded the current licence in 2012.
Certain licence holders in the gambling industry are required to implement a Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct (Code of Conduct). This is requirement of their licence.
