A mandatory closure period now applies to all electronic gaming machines (EGMs) at Victorian pubs, clubs and hotels from 4 am to 10 am daily.
Venues are required to update their gaming hours in the Intralot Gaming Services (IGS) BOS portal to reflect actual operating hours and comply with the Auditing and Accounting Venue Requirements (AAVR). A significant number of venues are yet to do so.
We strongly recommend venues opt-in to have IGS automatically disable/enable their EGMs and align with the permitted operational hours.
A zero-tolerance approach will apply to any non-compliance where a venue operator has not opted-in to the IGS automatic disabling/enabling function.
