Fraudulent VGCCC entitlement payment invoices

We strongly encourage venue operators to check VGCCC payment invoices to ensure they are legitimate.

A venue operator recently received a fraudulent entitlement payment invoice which requested payment to a false VGCCC bank account.

The VGCCC has not changed banking details.

If you receive a VGCCC invoice, please check to ensure it contains the correct account details – VGCCC Revenue Account.

Do not pay an invoice unless you have confirmed it is legitimate. If you have any doubts about a payment request or suspect an email using our name or logo may not be genuine, contact us on 1300 599 759.

Fraudulent invoices may be identifiable by:

  • emails sent at odd hours or from international time zones

  • emails from suspicious, misspelt or unusual email addresses

  • requests for changes to critical information such as account details or account names

  • VGCCC branded materials used with unusual details such as incorrect email and website addresses and spelling mistakes

  • payment details to unauthorised or personal account names.
