With the installation of Ticket-In-Ticket-Out (TITO) capabilities some gaming venues have removed the hopper and/or the coin chutes from their electronic gaming machines.
This is a reminder that you must not allow alterations to any game or electronic gaming machine in your venue that has not been approved. This includes alterations to hardware such as hoppers and also includes software changes. Any variations made without our approval is a breach against the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (GRA).
We are currently working with manufacturers to facilitate hoppers and coin chutes being optional on TITO enabled gaming machines.
If you have already removed hoppers or coin chutes on TITO-enabled machines you do not need to replace them unless we advise you.
All other games and electronic gaming machines operating in your venue must also continue to operate as advised by us.
