A revised version of the Accounting and Auditing Venue Requirements has been released and is available now.
The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) has recently reviewed and determined new Accounting and Auditing Venue Requirements (AAVR) for gaming venue operators.
The AAVR are regularly reviewed to ensure they are clear and up to date.
Incorporated in the amended AAVR is a key red tape reduction initiative for gaming venues. To reduce the regulatory requirement for recording of hard meters, recording will now be required monthly rather than weekly
The updated AAVR also provides improved clarity to assist gaming venue operators in understanding their regulatory requirements. The AAVR now specifies that:

The AAVR forms part of the Venue Manual which assists gaming venue operators comply with their regulatory responsibilities. The Venue Manual contains regulatory guidelines determined by the VGCCC under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and it is venue operator's responsibility to review and adhere to requirements frequently to ensure regulatory and gaming conduct compliance in their venue.
