Make sure your electronic gaming machines offer YourPlay at all times

If you discover that your electronic gaming machines (EGMs) are not connected to the YourPlay system, those EGMs must not be available for game play until the fault is rectified.

We have detected instances where EGMs have not been connected to the Victorian pre-commitment system (YourPlay).

We remind all venue operators that it is a legal requirement that all EGMs in operation must be connected to the YourPlay system.

After installation of an EGM and connection with YourPlay, it is possible that an EGM may disconnect from the YourPlay system.

We expect that a venue will have processes in place to check and ensure that all their EGMs are operating with YourPlay.

Any EGMs not offering YourPlay should not be available for game play until the matter is  resolved.

Reasonably practical processes that venues can undertake to ensure EGMs are connected to YourPlay include:

  • visually inspecting your EGMs on a regularly basis and checking YourPlay is connected on each of your EGMs
  • regularly checking that the YourPlay player information equipment, such as your kiosk and card encoder, is functioning as it’s supposed to
  • running the Intralot YourPlay EGM connectivity report and addressing any issues immediately
  • using a manager test card (with PIN) to test EGMs and the card reader on a regular basis.

If you become aware that EGMs are not offering YourPlay, and you continue to operate the EGM, you run the risk of us taking enforcement action.
