The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (the Commission) has concluded its independent investigation into whistleblower allegations made against the Chief Executive Officer of Crown Resorts Limited, Mr Ciarán Carruthers.
The Commission is grateful to those who came forward with concerns.
The Commission is satisfied that Crown’s handling of the whistleblower complaints and the recommendations resulting from Crown’s own investigation into the complaints were appropriate.
The Commission will closely monitor the implementation of those recommendations.
The Commission’s assessment of Crown Melbourne Limited’s suitability to hold the Melbourne Casino Licence is ongoing and will be finalised by mid-April.
The outcomes of the Commission’s investigation into this matter should not be taken to indicate any pre-judgment about its pending decision on whether Crown Melbourne Limited is suitable to continue to hold the casino licence.
