Is your declared status about to expire?
If your organisation is conducting minor gaming activities such as bingo, raffles (of any value), or lucky envelopes to raise funds, make sure you check the status of your declaration to avoid conducting these activities illegally. Only organisations who are currently declared by the VGCCC to be a community or charitable organisation can conduct these types of activities.
If you are declared as a community or charitable organisation (this can include schools and sporting clubs), the declaration will be valid for 10 years, so first check your records to see if your declared status is due to expire. If it is, you can renew online for free (paper renewals are not accepted).
If you’re unsure about your organisation’s declared status, you can check on the VGCCC website by searching the Declared Community and Charitable Organisations database, and review the renewal guidelines (PDF, 1.8 MB) to ensure you submit the required documentation.
If you do not wish to renew your declared status, the organisation is no longer operating, or your declared status has expired you must contact us on 1300 599 759 or email us at [email protected].
