Installing a linked jackpot in your venue? Here's what you must do.

Other related content

Ensure you follow the right steps if you are planning to install a Linked Jackpot Arrangement (LJA) in your venue. Without the right approvals in place, enforcement action may be taken.

Venue operators can only operate LJAs that have been approved by the VGCCC.

The monitoring licensee is required to apply to the VGCCC for the approval of an LJA or a variation to an LJA.

If you want to operate an LJA at your venue, please contact the monitoring licensee. Venue operators do not need to apply to the VGCCC.

Make sure you check with the monitoring licensee to ensure your LJA is approved. Failure to do so might result in a breach of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003, as it is a breach for:

  • a venue operator to conduct gaming through an LJA that is not approved by the VGCCC, or conduct gaming through an LJA that has been varied and that variation is not approved by the VGCCC (a maximum fine of 100 penalty units may apply), and
  • a person, to install or cause to be installed an LJA that is not approved by the VGCCC, or vary or cause to be varied, an LJA that is not approved by the VGCCC (a maximum fine of 100 penalty units may apply).

For more information on LJAs, please contact the VGCCC on 1300 599 759 or email [email protected].
