Reminder of RSG training requirements

Venue operators must ensure their gaming staff have completed their Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) training. Records of this training must also be made available during VGCCC inspections.

Venue staff working in a gaming-related capacity at a venue must complete the following training modules:

  • Module 1, online. Venue staff must complete this module within one month of starting work in a gaming venue.

  • Module 2 is face-to-face training that venue staff must complete within 6 months of starting work in a gaming venue.

  • Module 3 (online) and Module 4 (face-to-face) must be completed within 3 years of the date on which you completed Module 2.

  • Module 4 training must be completed within 3 months of completing Module 3.

Venue staff must complete refresher training of Modules 3 and 4, every 3 years.

This training is free of charge and is administered through the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

Gaming staff can set up their own RSG training account by visiting https://rsgonline.vic.gov.au/login/signup.php

Venue operators can check the status of their employees’ training certificates by visiting https://rsgonline.vic.gov.au/local/rsg/report_cert_check.php
