Victorian gambling venues will soon have access to Ticket-In Ticket-Out (TITO) functionality on compatible gaming machines.
TITO enables patrons to collect credits from a gaming machine via a barcoded ticket that can be exchanged for cash or used in another gaming machine to continue play.
It removes the need for players to handle coins when switching between gaming machines and reduces venue staff workload associated with frequently topping up or collecting coins from gaming machines.
Development and testing has been carried out by industry to ensure that TITO systems will interconnect with Intralot’s Central Monitoring and Control System and be compliant with the VGCCC technical standards for TITO
TITO transactions are required to be monitored by Intralot’s Central Monitoring and Control System just like all gaming transactions on electronic gaming machines.
A range of resources are now available to assist venue operators to understand the regulatory requirements and expectations if they choose to install TITO in their venues:
- Amendments to the Accounting & Auditing Venue Requirements (AAVR) in the VGCCC Venue Manual
- Cashless Gaming Operational Guidelines for Venue Operators
More information can be found on the TITO web page.
Changes to the AAVR have also been highlighted in a marked-up version of the document:
