The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) has simplified the process around changes to gaming machine areas so venue operators will no longer be required to seek prior approval in certain circumstances.

Commercial licence holders and venue operators are required to undertake an annual review of their Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct (Code) and, where applicable, self-exclusion programs (SEPs) by 12 August 2016.
Where a venue operator enters into an agreement to purchase a gaming venue from another venue operator, regulatory approval must be obtained from the VGCCC before settlement can take place.
