The VGCCC has approved an application by Sunbury United Sporting Club to reduce the number of pokies they’re licensed to operate from 50 to 40 machines.
The club in Sunbury was operating 40 pokies but were licensed to have an extra 10 machines in the gaming room.
However, they applied to the Commission to reduce their machines to make way for a new children’s play area and an extension of the venue to cater for non-gambling social gatherings and events.
Venue operators can apply to the Commission to reduce the number of pokies at their venues.
